MUCHAP, as a Centre of Makerere University, adheres fully to the University’s policy on Centers of Excellence. Minor amendments recommended by the University Directorate of Legal Affairs are currently being handled by the subscribers.

Regular audits, both internal and external, have been conducted by the Directorate of Audit and the Office of the Auditor General. All audits have consistently yielded favorable outcomes, with UNQUALIFIED as the classification.

Management ensures that the Iganga premises are well-maintained, with improvements implemented as the budget permits. A lean and dedicated staff is retained to sustain the Centre’s operational activities effectively. During data collection periods, a team of Research Assistants is engaged to support MUCHAP and its research collaborators. Additionally, Village Health Teams (VHTs) and community volunteers, known as ‘Scouts,' play a crucial role in registering events within the surveillance area, further enhancing the Centre's community engagements.
